A view exchange of views has been held to improve quality crop production and good agricultural practices to increase the export capacity of products in the international market.

The discussion meeting was held on Sunday at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, organized by the Export Development Bureau and in collaboration with the District Administration and Khagrachari Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The meeting was chaired by  Mohammad Hasan Arif, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive (Additional Secretary) of the Export Development Bureau, and Abdul Wadud Bhuiyan, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, was present as the chief guest.

Khagrachari Deputy Commissioner Anwar Sadat, Chairman of the Hill District Council Mrasa Thoai Marma as special guests. Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Mizanur Rahman and others.

At this time, the speakers stated that there is no alternative to quality crop production and good agricultural practices to make the agricultural products of the hills exportable, and said that it is important to increase the skills of entrepreneurs and farmers in agricultural exports and to improve export capacity, modern storage systems, control transportation costs and ensure fair prices for farmers.

If various fruits of the hills are to enter the international market, in addition to producing safe and quality agricultural products, effective steps in these areas to maintain quality at every stage of collection and marketing, the speakers said that new possibilities will open in the agricultural economy of the hill regions.
