View exchange, inauguration of newly- elected committee of BPHCDA in Gaibandha

A view exchange meeting and inauguration ceremony of the newly -elected committee (2026–2029) of the Bangladesh Private Hospital, Clinic and Diagnostic Association (BPHCDA), Gaibandha District Unit was held on Thursday at District Shilpakala Academy auditorium in Gaibandha.
The event was attended as the chief guest by Dr. Md. Mosaddek Hossain Biswas (Dambel), President of the Central Executive Committee of BPHCDA.
The meeting was presided over by Dr. Akh. Md. Asaduzzaman (Saju), President of the Gaibandha District Branch. Special guests included Prof Dr. Syed Mamunur Rahman, Vice-President of the Central Executive Committee and President of the Rangpur Division of BPHCDA; Md. Samsur Rahman Kayes, Organizational Secretary; and Abdul Awal Raja, Publicity and Publication Secretary of the Central Committee.
Among others present were Professor Dr. Syed Mohiul Hasan Sadiq, Administrator of Gaibandha District Council and President of the Gaibandha District Unit of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), and Dr. Md. Rafiquzzaman, Civil Surgeon of Gaibandha.
During the programme, leaders and stakeholders exchanged views on the challenges, prospects, and future directions of the private healthcare sector. Speakers emphasized the need for private hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centres to operate in compliance with existing laws and regulations to ensure modern and quality healthcare services. They also stressed the importance of patient-friendly services, skilled manpower development, and greater accountability in the healthcare sector.
Owners, directors, and representatives of private hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centres from different upazilas of the district participated in the event.
The newly elected committee members were formally inaugurated during the programme.
The event was moderated by Md. Sakhawat Hossain Biplob, General Secretary, and Md. Rasel Kabir, Joint General Secretary of the district branch.
The speakers expressed optimism that the newly elected committee would play an effective role in improving the quality of private healthcare services, ensuring good governance, and contributing to the overall development of the health sector in Gaibandha.
