Victory Day celebrated in Gopalganj

The Victory Day was celebrated with various programs including 31 gun salutes and paying tribute at the Independence and Victory Monument in Gopalganj on Monday.
The day's programme was inaugurated with 31 gun salutes at the beginning of the day. Then at 8:30 am, first Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Kamruzzaman and later Police Superintendent Md. Mizanur Rahman paid tribute at the Independence and Victory Monument.
Then, Muktijoddha Sangsad, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University, BNP, schools and colleges, and various political, social and cultural organizations paid tribute.
Later, prayers and prayers were held for the peace of the martyr's soul. On the occasion of the Day of Independence, a free dental clinic was inaugurated at the Government Bangabandhu College and a victory fair held at the Municipal Park was inaugurated.
Besides, various programs including wreath-laying at the 1971 massacre martyrs' memorial pillar (on the banks of Joy Bangla Pond) next to the Sadar Upazila Parishad premises, prayer mahfil, commemoration of the Liberation War, felicitation of freedom fighters and freedom fighter family members were held.
On the other hand, the People's Rights Council held a victory rally in Gopalganj city on the occasion of the great Victory Day. This is the first time this organization has held a public program in the district city. This victory rally of the People's Rights Council circled various roads in the district city.
Although it was not possible to hold any program during the previous government, today, after 16 years, the leaders and workers of Kashiani Upazila BNP and its associate organizations held a victory rally. They circled various roads in the Kashiani Upazila Sadar in a colorful arrangement.
