Victory Day celebrated at Bangladesh Embassy at Manila

The Bangladesh Embassy in Manila has celebrated the great Victory Day with due dignity and joyous atmosphere.
A discussion was organized on the evening of December 16 on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of Victory in the Embassy premises.
The programme of the day started with the official hoisting of the national flag at Bangladesh Bhaban on Saturday morning. After that, discussion and cultural program started at 6 pm in the embassy premises. The program begins with readings from the Holy Scriptures.
After that, under the leadership of Saima Razzaki, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy, all the officers and employees of the Embassy and the Bangladeshi expatriates present paid tribute to the portrait of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths. After that, the embassy officials read the messages of the President, Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and State Minister for Foreign Affairs given on the occasion of the day.
Highlighting the significance of the day, Embassy Charge d'Affaires Saima Razzaki remembered Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with deep respect at the beginning. Along with this, he paid deep respect to the four national leaders, 3 million martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Great War of Independence, 2 lakh victims' mothers and sisters, war wounded freedom fighters and all the freedom fighters who participated in the war.
Describing the importance and significance of the day, he said, the history of the 9-month war under the undisputed leadership of the Father of the Nation is the history of Bengali nation's sacrifice, history of valor and history of achievements. He also mentioned that Bangladesh is moving forward strongly under the able leadership of the honorable Prime Minister and with the tireless work and united efforts of all Bangladeshis including expatriates. He appreciated the various positive activities of expatriate Bangladeshis in increasing the reputation of Bangladesh in foreign soil. At the same time, he called upon Bangladeshi expatriates to regularly send remittances to Bangladesh through legal channels to boost and strengthen the economy of Bangladesh.
Finally, the meeting ended with prayer in remembrance of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the four national leaders and martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the great liberation war and wishing for the future progress and prosperity of the country and the nation.
