Vehicles vandalised in Chandpur after announcement of schedule

Miscreants vandalised at least 20 vehicles in Chandpur immediately after the announcement of the schedule for the 12th National Assembly elections.
At least 20 vehicles were vandalized on the Chandpur-Comilla regional highway in Ghosherhat and Palli Vidyut areas of Sadar Upazila on Wednesday, November 15 at around 8 pm. Police and local witnesses confirmed that at least 15 people were injured in the incident.
Several teams of police and BGB were deployed at the spot under the leadership of Chandpur Additional Superintendent of Police Sudipta Roy on receiving the information about the vehicle vandalism.
Superintendent of Police of Chandpur, Mohammad Saiful Islam, said, "We have come to know that right after the schedule was announced, miscreants carried out sneak attacks on the Chandpur-Comilla Regional Highway in Ghosherhat and Palli Vidyut areas.
At this time, some cars were vandalized. We immediately sent the police there and normalized the traffic. Additional police and BGB are still deployed there.
