The administration has demolished the illegal structures built on government land by the Roads & Highways Department in the area of Nandail Chowrasta roundabout in Mymensingh district on Sunday.

Nandail upazila administration and related Departments demolished all the illegal Establishments at Kishorganj intersection, Nandail intersection, Kendua intersection from 11 am to 3 pm.

At this time Assistant Commissioner (Land) & Executive Magistrate Md.Faijur Rahman , OC Abdul Mojid, Deputy Assistant Engineer Rustom Ali of Roads & Highways Department Kishorganj, Chairman Md.Shahabuddin Bhuiyan were present.

The common people who demanded the illegal structures in the government places applauded the administration and urged the people not to construct any more illegal structures in the rescued government places.

The strongly demanded the construction of passengers shelter and vehicle stands in open spaces or the construction of attractive structures by the government sothat Illegal structures can no longer be constructed in government places.

On the other hand, the affected traders who didn’t wish to be named said that all the houses in the government areas will be demolished. But the Administration ended the eviction drive leaving many illegal structures on government land which is objectionable and questionable in the general public's mind.

In this regard Assistant Commissioner (land) & Executive Magistrate Md Faijur Rahman said that there will be no illegal constructions in the government areas, the operation is continuing if anyone wants to construct illegal structures again, Jail fine can be imposed in the Mobile Court.
