Newly-posted Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Sumon Jihadi held an exchange meeting with journalists working in Sherpur of Bogura.

Sherpur Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi SM Rezaul Karim presided over this exchange meeting in the Upazila Parishad hall on Monday (December 18) afternoon.

There is no alternative to developing sports and culture in building a healthy society and nation. Therefore, with the help of journalists, the new UNO of Sherpur, Md Sumon Jihadi, wants to work together with journalists for the development of healthy society and upazila. He also talks about mainstream journalism and citizen journalism.

At this time, the new upazila Nirbahi officer sought the cooperation of the journalists in the overall activities of the upazila administration. At the same time, he expressed his determination to advance the upazila in all fields. He expressed his determination to engage himself in various developmental activities of Sherpur Upazila.

During the exchange of views, he answered the various development proposals of the upazila to the journalistsAssistant Commissioner (Land) S, M, Rezaul Karim, Project Implementation Officer Shamsunnahar Shiuly. Editor of weekly Ajker Sherpur newspaper Saiful Bari Dablu, Editor of weekly Vijay Bangla newspaper Akram Hossain, Editor of weekly Totho mala newspaper Sujit Kumar Basak, were present with him. Bangladesh Press Club President Abu Bakkar Siddique, Sherpur Press Club President Nimai Ghosh, Upazila Press Club President Deepak Sarkar, Model Press Club General Secretary Nahid Al Malek, City Press Club President Roknuzzaman, Online Press Club President Abu Jaher, North Bengal Journalist Association President Tajul Islam. Also the secretary of each club along with other members, journalists from electronic and print media were present.

It is known that through the 34th BCS, he joined an upazila of Panchagarh district as an assistant commissioner (land) in the administration cadre, but while working as an upazila executive officer in Dupchachia upazila of Bogra, he was transferred as Sherpur upazila executive officer. This executive officer is the son of a brave freedom fighter living in Shahjadpur upazila of Sirajganj district. He joined Sherpur Upazila as Upazila Nirbahi Officer on 12th December.
