Goalanda UNO.Md. Nahidur Rahman has taken the initiative to beautify the Goalando Upazila Parishad entrance, upazila premises and various surrounding areas.
On-site inspection on Thursday afternoon showed that the field that had been unsuitable for playing for a long time in the Upazila Court premises had been filled and made suitable for playing, a road was constructed directly from the highway to the Upazila Parishad, flower seedlings were planted on both sides of the road, various business establishments along the road were relocated to specific locations, as well as a round square with umbrellas above the heads to sit in the middle of the U-shaped business establishments, and various development works including the construction of a volleyball playground in the afternoon are attracting the attention of the beneficiaries coming to the Upazila Parishad.
It is learnt that UNO. Md. Nahidur Rahman has been performing his duties with dedication. Along with various office work, he is working tirelessly to give the Upazila Parishad a wonderful appearance.
Upazila Executive Officer Md. Nahidur Rahman said, "Everyone must play a conscious and active role to keep Goalanda clean. Maintenance and supervision of equipment is not only the responsibility of the upazila administration or business association, it is the collective responsibility of everyone. Garbage should be thrown in specific places, one should refrain from throwing garbage in drains, and traffic laws should be followed.
The UNO also said that instructions have been given in this regard that all the shops located near the upazila premises should be kept clean and managed in a neat and orderly manner.
