UN Security Council vote on new Gaza ceasefire text postponed to Monday: diplomats

Following a veto at the UN Security Council of an American resolution on the need for an "immediate and sustained ceasefire" in the Israel-Hamas war, a new vote on an alternative text has been postponed to Monday, diplomatic sources said.
The postponement of the vote, originally planned for Saturday, was intended to allow further discussions of the draft, the sources said.
