Typhoid vaccination campaign inaugurated in Boalkhali, 72,643 children to get vaccines

A typhoid vaccination campaign has been inaugurated under the Immunization Program (EPI) in Boalkhali, Chattogram at Bengura KBKR Government Primary School in the upazila at 10 am on Sunday.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Jafrin Jahed Jiti presided over the program, with UNO Mohammad Rahmat Ullah as the chief guest.
Boalkhali Police Station OC Mohammad Lutfur Rahman, Upazila Health Complex physicians Dr. Nirgat Jabin, Dr. Rajshri, Dr. Tofail Ahmed, Dr. Masudul Alam, Dr. Sharmin Akhtar, school principal Sumi Barua and journalists.
It was informed at the event that as part of the EPI program, the 'Typhoid Vaccination Campaign 2025' has started today. In this campaign, a total of 72,643 children aged 9 months to 15 years of Boalkhali Upazila will be vaccinated.
Of these, 52,387 children will be vaccinated in 176 educational institutions and 20,256 children in 211 community centers.
The vaccination program in educational institutions will continue from October 12 to 30 and at the community level from November 1 to 13.
