Two motorcyclists killed in Cumilla road crash

Two motorcyclists were killed after speedy a truck crashed their vehicle on the Chandina-Rammohan road in Udalia area under Chandina upazila of Cumilla district on Monday.
The deceased were Md Jamsed Ahmed,36, son of late Abdur Rahim, resident of Chaikot village of the municipality, and Md Shahjalal, 32, son of Shahidul Islam, resident of the same area.
Quoting locals officer-in-charge (OC) of Chandina Police Station Ahmed Sanjur Morshed said the duo went to Alikamora area from Chaikot in the morning on a motorcycle. The accident occurred when they reached in the area and a truck hit their motorcycle coming from the opposite direction around 12.20pm, leaving them dead on the spot.
Police recovered the bodies from the spot and sent those to Cumilla Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said, adding that the driver fled with the truck after the incident.
