Two missing children rescued following prompt Ansar intervention in Natore, Mitford

Staff Correspondent

Embodied members of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) rescued two missing five-year-old children in separate incidents at Baraigram Upazila Health Complex in Natore and Sir Salimullah Medical College (Mitford) Hospital in Dhaka on Wednesday.

At  11:30 AM on Wednesday, a female service recipient informed Ansar personnel on duty on the second floor of the Baraigram Upazila Health Complex in Natore that her five-year-old son, Tanjid, had gone missing. Ansar members immediately launched an intensive search across the hospital premises.

Led by Assistant Platoon Commander (APC) Md. Abdul Wadud Hossain, alongside Ansar members Md. Amirul Islam and Md. Hasan Ali, the team located and rescued the child from a section of the second floor shortly after the report was made. Following verification, Tanjid was reunited with his mother.

In a concurrent incident at Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital in Dhaka, duty Ansar member Kazi Matin and female Ansar member Rehena Parvin spotted a five-year-old boy, identified as Md. Ali, crying unattended near the ticket counter. The Ansar personnel took the child to the hospital's Ansar camp for safety.

After a one-hour search involving public announcements across the hospital compound, Ansar members located the child's sister, Sumaiya Akter, at the outpatient department of Building No. 2. Upon identification and approval from hospital authorities, the child was safely handed over to his sister.
