Two bodies recovered in C'nawabganj

Police recovered two bodies including a two-year-old child from Bholahat and Sadar upazila of Chapainawabganj district on Monday morning.
The deceased were identified as Mobassir alias Rabbil, son of Mozaffar Ali of Baliharpur village of Shibganj upazila and Abdullah,20, son of Hasan Ali of Kashmirpara area in Bholahat upazila.
It was leant that locals spotted the floating body of a child in Mahanadi river near the Rubber Dam area in Sadar upazila and informed the police in the morning. Later, police recovered the body.
On information, police recovered the child's body from the river, and legal procedures are under process in this regard, said Mehadi Hasan, officer in-charge of Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station.
The child had been missing since Sunday, the OC added.
Meanwhile, police recovered the hanging body of a young man named Abdullah from a mango orchard in Kashiabona area under Bholahat upazila. Earlier, Abdullah left his aunt's house last night and did not come back. In the morning, locals found his hanging body in a mango orchard in the same area.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to district hospital morgue for autopsy, said Sumon Kumar, officer in-charge of Bholahat Police Station.
Legal steps are ongoing in this regard, the police official added.
