Police arrested two accused, including a woman, in connection with a human trafficking case involving illegal migration to Italy from Madaripur. The arrests were made by Dasar Police from Amtali area in Barguna district.

On Thursday night, Dasar Police arrested the two human traffickers named Md. Salam Hawlader and Sumi Begum, residents of Paschim Chila area under Amtali Police Station in Barguna district.

According to the case statement, the accused are members of an international human trafficking syndicate. They took Tk 20 lakh each from victims Yasin and Hedayet Mia, promising to send them to Italy with valid visas. Believing their words, the victims agreed and arranged the money through loans and borrowing.
