Tree planting program inaugurated in Kurigram to implement government's election promise

As part of the government's election pledge to implement the government's 25 crore tree plantation program in 5 years, the tree plantation program was inaugurated on the Kurigram-Nageshwari-Bhurungamari-Sonahat Land Port National Highway on Thursday. 
 
 Present at the event were Mir Nizam Uddin Ahmed, Executive Engineer of the Kurigram Roads and Highways Department, Maulana Dinar Minhaj, Senior Joint Member Secretary of the Kurigram District Jatiya Nagorik Pati, nominated representative of the MP from Kurigram 2 constituency, Sub-Divisional Engineer Mehedi Hasan Sarkar, Deputy Assistant Engineers Hafizur Rahman, Abdul Aziz and local dignitaries.
 
At the same time, Mir Nizam Uddin Ahmed, Executive Engineer of the Kurigram Roads and Highways Department, said that he applauded this great initiative of the government. Besides, as a result of tree plantation, Kurigram will become a green urbanization and the environment will be protected with cool air, fruits and environmental balance.
 
During the tree planting, Maulana Dinar Minhaj, Senior Joint Member Secretary of Kurigram District National Citizens Party, said that by planting trees, our surrounding environment will be filled with greenery.
