Cold wave is still prevailing in Srimangal and Kamalganj of Moulvibazar. Srimangal recorded the minimum temperature of 9.6 degrees Celsius at 9 am on Wednesday.

Dense fog is seen since morning. Before this, Srimangal recorded the lowest temperature of 9.7 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, if the temperature drops below 10 degrees, secondary and primary schools are supposed to be closed according to government instructions, but the concerned upazila officials said that they have not received any instruction to close the school, while talking to several parents and students, they said that it is very cold in the morning and it is very difficult to go to school in this condition. Leg disease is more likely.

When talking about the closure of schools, Srimangal Upazila Secondary Education Officer Dilip Vardhan said that he has collected the report from the Srimangal Meteorological Monitoring Office and sent it to the district, but he has not received any instructions. Kamalganj Upazila Secondary Education Officer Shamsun nahar parvin and primary Education Officer Saiful islamTalukdar said that he had not received any instruction to close the school.

Meteorologist Md. Anisur Rahman said, A mild cold current is flowing in the surrounding areas including Srimangal, Kamalganj. As the temperature drops, the severity of the winter increases. Srimangal recorded the lowest temperature in the country at 9.7 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Today, Srimangal also recorded a temperature of 9.6 degrees. According to the forecast for the next 2 days, the temperature may drop further.

Moulvibazar District Education Officer Md. Fazlur Rahman told this correspondent that we have received the report of Meteorological Department and discussed with DC about the temperature, we are observing the overall situation and any decision will be informed.
