Teesta Master Plan implementation to begin next fiscal year : Dulu

Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu on Thursday announced that physical implementation of the Teesta Mega Plan will commence next fiscal year following the completion of technical feasibility studies.
The minister noted that the execution of the Teesta Master Plan will significantly transform the livelihoods of nearly two crore residents living along both banks of the Teesta River.
Minister Dulu made these remarks while inaugurating the newly constructed administrative building of Rajarhat Upazila Parishad in Kurigram on Thursday.
Criticizing the previous regime, the minister stated that 17 years of autocratic rule had crippled state institutions, resulting in deep-seated irregularities and corruption that the present administration is actively addressing.
Emphasizing public cooperation alongside law enforcement agencies to improve law and order, Dulu asserted that coordinated efforts between citizens and the administration would yield better security outcomes
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Kurigram Deputy Commissioner Annapurna Debnath, Zila Parishad Administrator Sohel Hosnain Kaikobad, Superintendent of Police Khondokar Fazle Rabbi, District BNP Convener Mustafizar Rahman Mustafa, and Joint Convener Hasibur Rahman, along with other district and upazila level officials.
