Teenager stabbed to death in N'ganj

A teenager named Sohan (17) was stabbed to death by a gang of teenagers in Bandar upazila of Narayanganj district at around 8:30 p.m on Sunday.
The murder was committed in Rupali Bagan area of Ward No. 21 of Bandar Police Station. The deceased Sohan is the son of Salam Molla, a hosiery worker in Rupali Bagan area of Bandar. The deceased's father, Salam Molla, said that Sohan used to work as a traffic congestion relief worker at the port. His son was killed over an earlier dispute.
Locals said that in Rupali area, there was a dispute over the supremacy of Kajal group with Pinki group, followers of former councilor and BNP leader Shahenshah. Earlier, Sohan had a quarrel with Hamzu's son.
On Sunday (October 13) night, the members of Kajal Group's youth gang stabbed Sohan in the chest with a knife over a previous enmity. Later, the locals rescued him and brought him to the emergency department of Narayanganj 100-bed general hospital, where the on duty doctor declared him dead.
OC of Bandar Police Station Tariqul Islam said that the police were sent to the spot after receiving the information. Police operation to arrest the killers is going on.
