Popular small-screen actor Tawsif Mahbub and promising actress Naznin Nahar Niha will be seen in a single-episode drama titled “Matchmaker”. Directed by Imraul Rafat, the drama has been made for the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

In the drama, Tawsif has played the character of Iftekhar while Niha will be seen portraying the role of Muntaha.

In the story, Muntaha is the daughter of the famous Ghatak (matchmaker) Shakeel Bhai. Following her father’s legacy, she has opened a marriage app called “Matchmaker”. On the other hand, Iftekhar owns an investigation firm, where one can inquire about the past of the future wife or husband before marriage. Iftekhar and his team investigate very efficiently and always provide perfect reports.

Although their working area is different, both organisations influence breaking and making marriages. In the play, the relationship between the two develops through the breakup of a marriage. Muntaha loses a client because of Iftekhar’s negative report! After that, interesting things happened around two institutions, two people and one marriage.

“Matchmaker” also stars Shehzad Omar, Shahbaz Sani, Risa Chowdhury, Shahidullah Sabuj, Zaki Ahmed Zarif and others.

Imaraul Rafat said, “In this story of the romantic genre drama, we brought out the match of two people from two different professions. I hope the audience will like Tawsif and Niha’s chemistry in the drama.”

Producer SK Shahed Ali Pappu said that “Matchmaker” is one of their special surprises this Eid. The drama will be released on YouTube on Eid-ul-Fitr.

Earlier, Tawsif and Niha paired up in the drama “Anuraag”, directed by Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz.
