SUST reduces admission fee

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology ( SUST) authority has reduced the admission fee for the 2024-25 session in response to the demands of students.
The decision was taken at an emergency academic council meeting of the university at 4 pm on Friday (April 11). The meeting was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. M. Sarwaruddin Chowdhury.
The meeting re-fixed the admission fee for the 2024-25 session at 14,900 taka. Earlier, in the admission notification dated April 9, 17,000 taka was fixed for the admission of students.
After the 2019-20 session, the admission test was held in SUST four times in a cluster system. However, this year, the authority conducted the admission test in five divisional cities in its system. Last year, a fee of 18,000 taka was charged from the students in the cluster system admission process. In the 2019-20 session, the fee was only Tk 8,000
