Chairman and Managing Director (MD) of the S Alam Shilpa Group, Mohammad Saiful Alam, said that the supply of refined sugar will be started from S Alam Refined Sugar Industries in one or two days as the stock of refined sugar is intact.He said this in response to reporters' questions during his visit to the scene on Tuesday.
In response to the question whether there will be an impact on the price of sugar in the market, he said that it will take two-one days to go into production. Putting out the fire is our main goal now.There will be no shortage of sugar.
According to sources, a fire broke out in a warehouse of 100,000 tonnes of raw sugar of S Alam Refined Sugar Industries. Adjacent finished sugar warehouse and sugar refining machinery units remain intact. Sugar raw material is brought from Brazil, Argentina and Thailand and refined in two plants. Among them, the production capacity of plant 1 is 900 tons per day, and the production capacity of plant 2 is 1,600 tons. The factory is being operated with technology and technical support from Thailand and France.
According to fire service sources, fire fighting robot 'Luff-60' is being used to prevent the spread of sugar factory fire. With this machine, water is being sprinkled at a speed of 1000 liters per minute. Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard are assisting the fire service in controlling the fire. Law and order forces are active to handle the crowd of curious people.
