
Subrata Bain plotted attacks to spark political unrest: Law Enforcers

Law enforcement agencies during interrogation came to know that Subrata Bain along with his other gang members were plotting to target political activists to create unrest in the country.
Earlier, Subrata Bain, Molla Masud, Arafat, and Sharif—were arrested by the army in Kushtia town on Tuesday (May 27).
Later, a Dhaka court granted eight days’ remand for Subrata Bain and six days each for the other three in a case filed under the Arms Act with Hatirjheel Police Station.
After thta, the case has been handed over to the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Subrata is currently being held at the DB office for questioning.
DB Joint Commissioner Mohammad Nasirul Islam confirmed that investigators are interrogating Subrata regarding his alleged involvement in recent criminal activities.
Subrata Bain's name has surfaced in connection with three recent murders in the Hatirjheel and Gulshan areas of Dhaka. He and his associates are also reportedly linked to incidents of land grabbing, flat occupation, and extortion.
According to police sources, on April 21, a Youth Wing leader of the BNP, Arif Sardar (35), was shot dead in Hatirjheel. The suspects are being questioned about this incident, though they have not yet confessed.
