State Minister for Shipping and Bridges Rajib Ahsan pays surprise visit to Benapole Land Port

State Minister for Shipping and Bridges Md. Rajib Ahsan MP paid a surprise visit to Benapole Land Port on Wednesday to review border trade management, passenger services, and security infrastructure.
Accompanied by Bangladesh Land Port Authority Chairman Mohammad Manjarul Mannan, the State Minister arrived at the port around 12:00 PM inspecting the weighbridge scales, storage sheds, cargo yards, scanners, immigration operations, passenger terminals, and administrative attendance.
Following an inspection of the International Passenger Terminal, Customs clearance desks, and Zero Point, State Minister Rajib Ahsan chaired a consultative meeting with port stakeholders and officials at the administrative building. Discussions focused on enhancing trade efficiency, eliminating passenger harassment, reinforcing port security, and modernizing logistics infrastructure.
Highlighting the economic importance of the land port, the State Minister stated that Benapole plays a vital role in keeping the national economy dynamic.
Benapole Land Port Deputy Director Md. Ruhul Amin, along with senior representatives from the police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), and customs authorities, accompanied the Minister during the inspection.
