SSC student commits suicide as results not up to expectations in Singair

A girl student committed suicide by hanging herself in Manikganj's Singair after passing the SSC examination but the result was not as expected.
The incident took place in the Golai village of Jamsha Union of the upazila in the early hours of Monday.
Jannatul Akhtar (16) of the deceased student and daughter of Jinder Ali of the village. He passed SSC with 3.39 marks.
It is learnt that the result of SSC examination was published yesterday, in which the student passed. But as the result was not to his liking, Maan committed suicide in his living room by hanging himself with a veil around his neck.
OC of Singair police station OC Ziarul Islam said, "We have heard the matter and the police have been sent to the spot." Legal action will be taken after investigation.
