None of the 10 students who participated in this year's SSC examination from Ambari Girls' High School in Domar, Nilphamari, could pass. As a result, the school's pass rate stands at zero percent. This picture came to light after the SSC examination results were published on Monday (August 10) morning.

On visiting the school, it is seen that there are buildings, classrooms, teachers and staff, and several infrastructures built with various government allocations. However, there is no student attendance. There is no satisfactory environment for regular teaching. There are 155 students enrolled in the school from class 6 to 10. However, only 20 to 30 students attend school every day.

According to school sources, Ambari Girls' High School was established in 1992 on more than an acre of land. In 2000, the lower secondary branch of the school was registered with the MPO. Later, in 2004, permission was given to teach in the secondary branch. However, since there were not enough students for the secondary level, the teachers of the school said that the secondary level teaching was conducted by the teachers of the lower secondary branch. Currently, there are six students and six employees in the school.

Acting headmaster of Ambari Girls' High School, Zikrul Haque, said, 'Students not coming to school regularly and parents' lack of awareness are big problems. Along with this, there is child marriage and a shortage of teachers. Due to these reasons, the continuity of students' studies has been disrupted. That is why it was not possible to get good results in the SSC exam this time.'

However, locals complain that the school's education system has been weak for a long time due to the negligence of the school's teachers and the lack of proper monitoring at the government level.

In this regard, Domar Upazila Academic Supervisor Md. Shafiul Islam said, 'The report of the results of Ambari Girls' High School has been sent. Necessary action will be taken as per the next instructions.'
