On the occasion of Autumn Durgotsab-2023 celebrations, special law and order committee was held at the initiative of Baniachong upazila administration.  Alhaj Advocate Abdul Majeed Khan, Member of Parliament of Habiganj-2 Constituency and President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee, attended the meeting as the chief guest.

In the speech of the chief guest, MP Majid Khan said that Bangladesh is a safe abode for all people irrespective of religion and caste.  Inspired by the phrase 'Dharma Jhar Jhar Utsav Sbarra', we all will celebrate the festival together.

He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the Special Law and Order Committee meeting organized by the Baniachong Upazila Administration on the occasion of Autumn Durgotsav-2023 celebration at the auditorium of Baniachong Upazila Parishad at 11 o'clock on Saturday (October 14).

Under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Md. Mahbubur Rahman and General Secretary of Puja Udjar Parishad Nupur Deb, Chairman of Upazila Parishad and District Jubo League President Abul Kashem Chowdhury, Vice Chairman of Parishad Farooq Amin, Women Vice-Chairman Hasina Akhtar, Assistant Commissioner were present as special guests.  (Ground) Md. Saiful Islam, Baniachong Police Station Officer Incharge (OC) Delwar Hossain.

After the discussion, Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's gift to 122 Puja Mandap was 500 kg and 61 metric tons of rice was handed over to the President and General Secretary of the Mandap by Chief Guest MP Majid Khan and other guests.
