Sonali Life Insurance, Nagad sign strategic partnership to expand digital insurance services
Sonali Life Insurance PLC and Nagad signed a strategic partnership agreement to expand digital insurance services in Bangladesh and make life insurance more accessible to the general public.
Under the agreement, two digital insurance products of Sonali Life Insurance PLC ‘the Quick Savings Insurance Plan and the Monthly Savings Plan’ will be available to customers through Nagad’s digital platform. The initiative aims to expand access to insurance services, promote cashless transactions and extend financial protection to more people through a convenient digital channel.
The agreement was signed on October 14, 2026, at the head office of Sonali Life Insurance in Dhaka. Md. Rafiqul Islam, additional managing director and acting chief executive officer of Sonali Life Insurance PLC, and Mohummed Shahin Sarwar Bhuiyan, chief commercial officer of Nagad, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohummed Shahin Sarwar Bhuiyan, chief commercial officer of Nagad, said, “This partnership with Sonali Life Insurance will expand customers’ access to life insurance services through digital platforms. Nagad has been focusing on making everyday financial transactions easier for customers while introducing new digital services. We hope this initiative will make it easier for customers to purchase insurance products and further expand access to digital financial services in the country.”

Saidur Rahman Dipu, head of business sales; Istiaque Ahmed Shawon, head of bank, FI, insurance & MFI; Tapash Ahmed, lead – insurance & NBFI; and Al Timayat, key account manager.
