Sherpur Dist Development, Coordination committee meet held

The monthly district development and coordination committee meeting for August 2026 was held on Sunday afternoon at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office in Sherpur.
Presided over by Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Farida Yasmin, the meeting featured Sherpur-1 (Sadar) Member of Parliament Md. Rashedul Islam Rashed as an advisor.
The meeting was addressed by Superintendent of Police A.K.M. Zahirul Islam, Deputy Director of Local Government Department Arifa Siddika, and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Shakil Ahmed, among others.
Heads of various government departments, executive engineers, upazila executive officers, and other members of the district development and coordination committee were also present at the gathering.
Discussions during the meeting centered on the district's overall development activities, progress of ongoing projects, infrastructural development, healthcare, education, agriculture, fisheries, food security, law and order situation, and various public welfare initiatives.
The concerned government offices were directed to accelerate ongoing development activities and ensure the timely implementation of projects.
