Awami League's nominated candidate for Shariatpur-2 (Naria-Sakhipur), Deputy Minister of Water Resources and former organizing secretary of Awami League, AKM Enamul Haque Shamim said that the country was plunged into darkness after the assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1975.

He said this in the speech of the chief guest at the road meeting after the rally in favor of the boat at Bhojeshwar market in Naria upazila of Shariatpur-2 constituency on Monday afternoon.

He said that the people of the country got freedom by voting by boat and got the right to speak Bengali language. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has made great progress in the country since she was in power for three consecutive terms. Bangladesh is the role model of the world today. People's leader Sheikh Hasina has to become the prime minister for the fifth time to maintain the continuity of development.

Enamul Haque Shamim said, Awami League came to power and Padma Bridge has become. Big mega projects have been implemented in the country. Because of him, 50 years of erosion in Naria has been stopped in the last five years.

The embankment called Jaibangla Avenue has now become a tourist destination. Naria-Sakhipur is advancing in all directions Bangabandhu Agricultural University is being established at Shariatpur.
