Trinamool BNP Chairperson Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury Bir Bikram has announced that he will contest in the Sylhet-6 (Golapganj-Bianibazar) seat in the upcoming parliamentary elections. He will officially start the election campaign soon by visiting the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (R.H.) and Hazrat Shahparan (R.H.) of Sylhet. He said.

He disclosed this information in a view exchange meeting with the members of Biyanibazar Fishermen's Association at his home in Badeshwar Dakshinbhag village of Golapganj upazila of Sylhet district on Sunday afternoon.

He said, 'Trinamool BNP is an election-oriented party. We will participate in the 12th National Parliament Election. And Trinamool BNP will field candidates in 300 seats.

He also said that my politics is for the welfare of people. I always love grassroots people. I will be the charioteer of their happiness and sorrow.

Earlier Mobin Chowdhury Bhadeshwar of Samsher offered Zohar prayer at Mokambazar Shah Putla Jame Masjid. After that, he exchanged ideas and skills with the local worshipers. Later held a meeting with the representatives of the fisheries association.

The party's workers-supporters including Manik Miah, General Secretary of Biyanibazar Fishermen's Association, MA Hannan, Convener of Sylhet District Branch of Trinamool BNP, Chana Miah, Convener of Golapganj Upazila Branch were present in the meeting.

Samsher Mobin Chowdhury was the vice chairman of BNP. Resigned from BNP in 2015. On December 8, 2018, he joined Bangladesh as an advisor on foreign affairs. Later, in the 11th National Assembly elections, he became a candidate for Sylhet-6 constituency in the alternative nomination. However, before the election, he withdrew from the election by supporting Awami League's candidate, former Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid.

Trinamool BNP Chairperson Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury confirmed this and said my party will participate in the elections with the promise of establishing good governance through good politics. For this purpose, I have started working with the people of my constituency. He requested the cooperation of the concerned in this regard.
