Shahanara Chowdhury wins Joyita Award in Patuakhali

In 1971, a girl studying in class 10th during the Liberation War married a brave freedom fighter. He wanted to educate himself well in an independent country and help build the country. Although the desire of the freedom fighter's wife was not fulfilled at that time, after 52 years, she got the achievement of Sadhana.
Shahanara Chowdhury was awarded as the best winner in Patuakhali. On Saturday, Patuakhali Deputy Commissioner Noor Qutubul Alam handed over the Shrestha Joyita Padak to this successful woman.
Adamya Janani was born on March 21, 1957 in a Muslim noble family of Bagdia village of the then Kalaskathi Union of Bakerganj.
The child of father Reza Abul Hashem and mother Wazedun Nessa, the fourth of two brothers and three sisters, Shahanara was self-confident since childhood. Despite the fact that girls' education was socially hindered in Muslim families at that time, Shahanara was the only female student in 10th standard in BM Academy Secondary School in Kalsakathi, confident of her father's support. His studies stopped when the liberation war started. The camp of freedom fighters was in their own house.
Shahana used to help their mother in cooking for the warriors. The Great War of Liberation further awakened his spirit of life. She married a brave freedom fighter who was a government employee on September 10 during the war. Without informing his wife, immediately after the marriage, the husband went to fight for the independence of the country. After independence, Shahanara, a teenage girl, started her married life with her husband, a valiant freedom fighter. Even though he passed higher secondary school in 1972, he could not continue his studies due to family pressure. However, his life struggle did not stop. Shahanara Chowdhury, the mother of eight daughters in independent Bangladesh Joyita never had to enjoy the pain of not having a son. His dreams are fulfilled today because of his daughters.
He made each of his daughters highly educated, even if their studies were not perfect. Instead of becoming wealth themselves, they have made their daughters the wealth of the country. Although the second daughter died due to illness, Shahanara's seven daughters are engaged in various government jobs today. He found his success in daughters. It is because of Kanyadas that today she is the best Jaita of the district.
The government found Shahanara Chowdhury as the best winner at the district level in the search for victory organized by the International Party for the Prevention of Violence against Women and Begum Rokeya Day 2023. Patuakhali district commissioner's best victory medal and recognition is his achievement and fulfillment.
