
Schoolgirl killed after being hit bus in Tungipara

A schoolgirl named Sintia Mim (6) was killed after being hit by a bus belonging to Imad Paribahan in Tungipara. on Sunday noon on Khaleq Bazar main road in Tungipara.
The deceased, Sintia Mim, was the daughter of Mohammad Miraz Sheikh of Singipara village under Tungipara upazila and a first-grade student of Nilfa Modern Kindergarten School.
According to local sources, the child was returning home from school when she was struck by a speeding Imad Paribahan bus (registration number 159433) coming from Dhaka while crossing the road. She died on the spot.
After the accident, the driver fled, leaving the bus behind. Tungipara police later recovered the body, sent it to Gopalganj 250-bed General Hospital, and took the bus to the police station.
The tragic news cast a shadow of grief across the area. Enraged locals blocked the road, held a protest, and demanded a ban on Imad Paribahan.
Residents alleged that reckless driving by Imad Paribahan buses has caused a series of accidents. Recently, Tungipara Municipal JCD leader Tanvir Ahmed Sayad was also seriously injured after being hit by a bus from the same company.
Locals have demanded swift justice for the responsible driver.
