Mayor of Sylhet City Corporation. Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury said that the people of the country, including Sylhet, participated in the elections in a spontaneous and festive atmosphere in the 12th National Assembly elections and proved that free, fair and acceptable elections are possible under the honorable Prime Minister Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina. The election was held in a peaceful atmosphere. They also expressed their satisfaction with the election, mentioning the world-class electoral system of Bangladesh.

In a congratulatory message sent to the media today, Monday (January 8), he congratulated the Awami League nominated boat candidate of Sylhet-1 constituency Dr. AK Abdul Momen and the winning candidates of 15 seats.

They are Sylhet-2 Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, Sylhet-3 Habibur Rahman Habib, Sylhet-4 Imran Ahmad, Sylhet-6 Nurul Islam Nahid, Moulvibazar-1 Shahab Uddin, Moulvibazar-2 Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, Moulvibazar-3 Zillur Rahman, Vice Principal Abdus Shahid in Moulvibazar-4 Constituency, Mayez Uddin Sharif Ruhel in Habiganj-2 Constituency, Abu Zahir in Habiganj-3 Constituency, Advocate Ranjit Chandra Sarkar in Sunamganj-1 Constituency, MA Mannan in Sunamganj-3 Constituency, Dr. Sunamganj-4 Constituency. Muhammad Sadiq and Muhibur Rahman Manik in Sunamganj-5 Constituency.

The Mayor also said that Awami League president Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of the father of the nation, is going to be elected as the prime minister for the fourth time in a row, forgetting all the differences and winning the boat unitedly. That is why the people of the country, including all the people of Sylhet, had unwavering support. I congratulate and thank you all.

He said that the development of the country will continue under the leadership of the Prime Minister and the future Bangladesh will be a smart Bangladesh.
