Saudi Arabia imposes strict warning on performing Hajj without permission

Diplomatic Correspondent

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior has said that strict action will be taken against illegal Hajj pilgrims including jail terms. Performing Hajj without a permit can be fined 10,000 riyals and six months in jail.

The country's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has launched an international awareness and educational campaign in 15 of the world's most widely used languages to convey the message of adhering to Hajj rules and refraining from performing Hajj without a valid permit or visa.

This year, 20 international airports are coordinating with various Islamic centers to promote Hajj related guidelines and rules through digital and conventional media to convey the awareness message to all those interested in performing Hajj.

Hajj pilgrims can easily know about various steps, schedule and procedures by visiting the link https://www.haj.gov.sa/Guides for Hajj awareness details.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has published several explanatory guides on its website including: Masjid al-Haram Guide, Masjid al-Nabawi Guide and Masjid al-Nababi Service Guide.
