Kandirpar is the heart of Cumilla city. About 100 meters road from Kandirpar to Nazrul Avenue. Here the drain water has caused flooding on the road. The stench of dirty drain water wafted through the air. This bad situation is long-standing. Millions of people in the city are suffering. The residents of the city are demanding that the road be repaired and the waterlogged removed quickly.

Going to the surface, it is known that the road here is relatively narrow. There are pitfalls at various places. As the road is low, water from the nearby drain accumulates here. If it rains too much, the water enters the shop next door. Many shops have been barricaded with cement.

Katyayani Kali house on the north side of the road. When water accumulates on the road, people move over the drain in front of the temple. There is a problem in the movement of people because the shop baskets are placed on the drain. There are about 10 electricity and telephone poles on both sides of the road. Besides, vans of hawkers are sitting on the side of the road. If there is a traffic jam on the broken road here, it also spreads to the adjacent Kandirpar Pubali Chattar.

Local glasses dealer Ziaul Haque said that due to the poor condition of the road, traders and pedestrians are suffering. Here the road has to be renovated after elevation. Achintya Das Titu, general secretary of Pooja Udjajar Parishad Cumilla Metropolitan Branch, said that the road here has been broken for two years. Even if it is lost sometimes, it returns to its previous state. Due to broken roads and waterlogging, temple goers and road pedestrians have to suffer. I demand speedy renovation of the road.

Ali Akbar Masum, general secretary of Cumilla branch of Bangladesh Environment Movement, said, I have been seeing the bad condition of this part of the road for a long time. Here the road has to be renovated after the elevation. Electricity and telephone poles should be removed in a planned manner. Shop baskets on drains and roadside vendors should be removed.

Cumilla City Corporation Panel Mayor Manjur Quader Moni said that the bad condition of the 100 meter road from Kandirpar to Nazrul Avenue has been noticed. It has been lost here at various times. This road gets damaged due to water accumulation. So RCC road will be made here. Necessary measures will be taken by talking to the Mayor regarding the speedy renovation.
