Rajshahi Bureau
An estranged couple has reunited through the intervention of Sabina Yasmin, Additional Deputy Police Commissioner of the Victim Support Center under Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP).
According to an official complaint lodged on April 11, 2025 (Victim-45/05/2025), the woman was married to her husband five years ago and the couple has two children. She alleged that after the marriage, she faced mental and physical abuse not only from her husband but also from her in-laws, including her mother-in-law and sisters-in-law. The abuse reportedly escalated over trivial matters.
On April 18, 2025, a family dispute took place during which the husband expressed his intent to divorce her. The victim was then taken to her relatives' house, and later her husband left her at her father's residence. Since then, he neither contacted her nor provided any financial support for her or the children.
Seeking justice, the victim approached the Victim Support Center in Rajshahi on April 13, 2025, and recorded her statement through the family
