Bangladesh has ranked seventh in the world in terms of expatriate income and most of this income comes from the United States of America ( USA) .

With a growth of 7 percent, the total expatriate income of Bangladesh in legal channels can stand at 23 billion or 2 thousand 3 billion dollars.

Recently, the World Bank and Nomad's report on Migration and Development has revealed this information.

The second highest remittances after the US comes from Saudi Arabia. In addition, a significant amount of expatriate income is coming from several Gulf Co Operation Council (GCC) countries. This includes several countries including Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Iraq. Although there is a negative trend in Bangladesh's remittances or expatriate income in 2022, the World Bank has predicted growth this year.

India is the top country in expatriate income. This year the country's expatriate income may reach 125 billion or 12 thousand 5 billion dollars. Expatriate inflows will increase at the end of the year due to strong labor markets in the United States and Europe, and lower inflation in high-income countries. However, the economic growth of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait will have a negative impact on Bangladesh's expatriate income.

Mexico will rank second in expatriate earnings by country. The country can get total expatriate income of 6 thousand 7 billion dollars. China will be in the third place with 5 billion dollar expatriate income. In fourth place will be the Philippines, they will receive 4 billion dollars.

Both Egypt and Pakistan will rank fifth and sixth with $2,400 million respectively. Bangladesh will be in seventh place. Nigeria, Guatemala and Uzbekistan will be ranked eighth, ninth and tenth with repatriation income of $2,000, $2,000 and $1,600 respectively.
