Relief distribution by Khasi youth organization among 800 flood affected families in Rajnagar

Volunteers of Islachora and Amchori Khasi (Khasia) youth organizations have distributed relief items to various flood affected areas of Panchgao Union of Rajnagar Upazila of Moulvibazar.
A volunteer team of 35 members from 10 am on Thursday (August 29) distributed food items among the flood affected people throughout the day. Biryani, dry food, sugar, crackers, biscuits, napkins, food saline, various emergency medicines are distributed in each packet.
These relief items were delivered to 800 flood-affected families in Nayagaon, Kanikiari, Paschim Bhag, Banait, Kubjhar areas of Panchgao Union.
Incessant rains and downpours from upstream (India's Dharmanagar and Kailashahar in Tripura) have caused severe flooding in some upazilas of Moulvibazar along with some districts of Bangladesh. Today, in the first phase, the members of Islachora and Amchori Punjee youth organizations distributed relief items to the flood-affected families in Rajnagar.
Believe Suchiang, a volunteer and chief coordinator of the organization, said, "Within a short period of time, we go around Islachora, Amchori Punjee and collect voluntary donations at Baramchal Church of God. We have tried to stand by the flood affected people by collecting donations from relatives, friends and acquaintances.
The distribution of relief items was attended by Headman (Mantri) of Amchori Punjee Jameson Lamin, General Secretary of Baramchal Progoti Youth Organization, Believe Suchiang, Islachora Punjee Youth Organisation members Provin Dhar, Yuliam Lamare, Richard Dhar, Banchem Pohthmi and Amchori Punjee Youth Organization members Shahrukh Lamin, Hrithik Lamba and others.
