In today’s world, beauty is often confined to external appearance, but Ritu Akter Borsha has redefined it in a unique way. By participating in the first season of Miss & Mrs. Elegance Bangladesh, Barsha not only showcased her intelligence and confidence but also revealed her deep love for animals.
Borsha was born in Jurain, the capital city of Bangladesh. Her father, Anowar Chowdhury, and mother, Rozi Begum, have always been supportive of her dreams. Currently, Borsha is pursuing her undergraduate studies in English at a national college in Dhaka.
The competition began with 350 participants from across the country. Open to married, unmarried, and hijabi women, the contest aimed to recognize beauty, confidence, and talent. From this group, 50 contestants were selected for the Grooming Round, and Borsha secured her place among them, proving her potential and dedication.
After passing the initial round, Borsha shared her love for animals in an exclusive media interview with Ibn Sayed Angkur. She revealed that her passion for animals was nurtured by her grandparents. Inspired by them, she has always tried to help neglected and injured animals by providing food and shelter. Her dream is to establish an animal welfare organization in the future where stray animals will receive care and protection.
Borsha believes that animals also deserve love and compassion, yet many people fail to understand their pain. She regularly feeds stray dogs, cats, and other animals, and even arranges medical treatment for the sick ones. According to her, humanity should not be limited to just people should extend to all living beings.
Borsha’s passion for animal welfare has deeply touched her family and those around her. Her family has always supported her and encouraged her to pursue her dreams. However, she has also faced criticism from certain sections of society. Some believe that focusing on animal welfare is less important than helping humans. But Borsha strongly believes that every living being has an equal right to exist in this world.
For Borsha, beauty is not just about appearance but also about the kindness and compassion one carries within. Her journey in the competition was a valuable experience, but she sees herself primarily as an animal lover. In the future, she dreams of building a large animal shelter where abandoned and injured animals can find safety and care.
If more young people like Borsha become aware of animal welfare, countless neglected animals will have a better future. Her dedication and sense of responsibility are undoubtedly inspiring, sending a positive message to society.
Borsha’s pure love and compassion make her more than just a beauty contestant they establish her as a true representation of inner beauty. The world needs more people like Barsha, who can make it a better place through love and kindness.
