
Red Crescent provides livelihood assistance to beneficiaries in Kalihati

Tangail District Unit of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society has distributed financial assistance among beneficiaries in Kalihati Upazila to support their livelihood development.
The assistance was provided on Friday under the Integrated Flood Resilience Program (IFRP) at an event held on the premises of Beripatal Adarsha High School in Durgapur Union.
The program was organized by the Tangail District Red Crescent Society and presided over by its Secretary, Ziaul Haque Shaheen.
Benazir Ahmed Tito, Central Organizing Secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and President of the Tangail Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attended the event as the chief guest.
Also present were Executive Members of the Red Crescent Society Sadekul Alam Khoka and Tarekul Islam Jhalak, along with Unit-level Officer Izzat Ali Khan, Coordinator Monirul Islam, and others.
A total of 175 beneficiaries from Durgapur Union received financial support. The distributed assistance included Tk 45,000 for cattle rearing, Tk 30,000 for goat rearing, Tk 30,000 for agricultural support, Tk 25,000 for poultry farming,Tk 30,000 for small businesses, Tk 45,000 for van or rickshaw purchase and Tk 40,000 for boats and fishing nets.
