With the modernity of technology, the pattern of crime is changing. Respectable citizens of Rangamati hill district are being victims of various crimes in cyber space.

As a result of which the social, family and personal life of the citizens is affected, apart from causing various mental disturbances.

In order to avoid being a victim of such crime, Rangamati Hill District Police has launched a 'Cyber Crime Monitoring Cell' where protection can be obtained from any crime committed in the cyber world. Among the three hill districts, Rangamati is the first to launch a Cyber Crime Monitoring Cell.

Cyber Crime Monitoring Cell was inaugurated by Superintendent of Police Mir Abu Tauhid, BPM (Bar) at Rangamati Superintendent of Police office recently.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Maruf Ahmed, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Mohammad Shah Imran, Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Shahnewaz Raju, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Jahedul Islam,Kotwali police station OC Ariful Amin, cyber crime monitoring cell in-charge Masood Rana and senior officials of the district police were present.

In this regard, Rangamati District Superintendent of Police Mir Abu Tauhid said, through this cyber crime cell, we want to provide protection to all the citizens of Rangamati hill district who are victims of cyber crime related crimes. Nowadays, many people are victims of cybercrime in various ways.

Our cell will be open round the clock. Besides, citizens can receive our service by sending information through a page, hotline number and mail for online communication with us.
