 On the occasion of the National Education Week-2026, Rafiqul Alam Bakul, Assistant Professor of the Department of Accounting at Muktijoddha Ahmed Ali Technical and BM College, Apexian, received the award as the best class teacher at the college level (technical) in Meherpur Sadar Upazila.

He received the award crest and certificate from Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Partha Pratim Shil and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Khairul Islam at the closing and award distribution ceremony of the Education Week organized by the Upazila Administration and Secondary Education Office at the Upazila Parishad premises on Thursday afternoon. Upazila Secondary Education Officer Monirul Islam and officials from various departments were present at the time. Rafiqul Alam Bakul is a skilled scout.He is a Wood Badger of the Rover Branch of Bangladesh Scouts. He has also served as the former Treasurer and Assistant Commissioner of Meherpur District Rover Scouts. Currently, he is the unit leader of Muktijoddha Ahmed Ali Technical and BM College Rover Scouts Group. He is a popular teacher of the institution. This teacher, who is very popular with the students, was elected the best class teacher at the upazila level in 2019, upazila and district levels in 2022, and upazila and district levels in 2024. He also serves as a presenter and moderator at various national days and educational programs of the college. He is also an examiner and auditor of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board. Along with teaching, he is also associated with writing on education and rovering. He has jointly written and edited the book HSC (BM) Accounting Principles and Application-2 (Second Paper). He is also very skilled in the field of ICT. He has completed multiple courses in ICT from the National Computer Training and Research Academy (Bogra). He has also received ICT training under Banbase and has also completed various online training through the A2i ICT Division.He is an active member of the National Teachers' Forum. He is also associated with various voluntary organizations. He is an advisor to 'Kishorer Dak', Kasba Blood Bank Society and Gangni Public Library. He is also serving as the Governor and National Board Member of the international voluntary organization Apex Club District-06. He is also serving as the Meherpur District President of the national voluntary organization Bashundhara Shuvo Sangha. Meanwhile, from the same institution, college principal Shahi Uddin has been selected as the best institution head at the technical level and class 11 student Farzana Akhter Snigdha has been selected as the best student at the college level (technical).
