Govt committed to protecting religious freedom, harmony: State Minister Sohel Manjur

State Minister for Housing and Public Works Ahammad Sohel Manjur, MP, has reiterated the government's firm commitment to safeguarding religious harmony and ensuring every citizen's constitutional right to practice their faith freely and safely.
The State Minister made the remarks as the chief guest at a financial assistance and gift distribution ceremony organized by the Bhandaria Upazila Administration on Monday morning on the occasion of the Durga Puja.
Extending greetings on behalf of the Prime Minister and himself, Sohel Manjur emphasized Bangladesh's long tradition of pluralism and communal cohesion.
Addressing security arrangements for the festivities, the Minister assured that law enforcement agencies and local administrations have taken comprehensive measures to ensure a peaceful environment across all puja mandaps (pavilions).
Presided over by Bhandaria UNO Md. Hasibul Hasan, the event was also addressed by Bhandaria Police Station OC Dewan Jaglul Hasan.
Following the discussion, special financial grants and holiday gifts were formally handed over to representatives of all local puja mandaps.
