Quality of healthcare should be increased at upazila level : Samanta Lal Sen

The quality of health care should be increased at the upazila level. If any patient is deprived of government services here, the concerned officials will have to take responsibility.
Health and Family Planning Minister Dr Samanta Lal Sen MP has warned that there will be severe punishment if there is any kind of negligence.
He said these things in the chief guest's speech at an opinion exchange meeting when he visited Rupganj Upazila Health Complex on the morning of Thursday, June 6, to inspect the quality of services and the movement of patients.
The campaign to close unlicensed private hospitals will continue as before, so action will be taken if irregularities are found, the health minister said, adding that it should be remembered that life is one life, and no harassment of any kind will be accepted in the name of treatment for this life.
The minister warned that the government is working to make community clinics more active. However, among all the hospitals I saw at the upazila level, the overall environment of this hospital in Rupganj is good. I am instructed to ensure that patients are not deprived of services.
Golam Dastgir Gazi Bir Pratik, former Minister of Jute and Textiles and Member of Parliament of Narayanganj 1 Constituency was present as a special guest in the meeting.
Rupganj Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Doctor Ivy Ferdous presided over it.
Additional Director General of Health Department Brigadier Mainul Hasan, Hospital Inspector Doctor Abu Hossain, Narayanganj District Civil Surgeon Abul Fazal Md. Moshiur Rahman, Rupganj Upazila Parishad Chairman Habibur Rahman Habib, Rupganj Upazila Executive Officer Ahsan Mahmud Russell, Rupganj Thana Officer-in-Charge OC, Deepak Chandra Saha along with local dignitaries including doctors and staff of the health complex.
After the exchange meeting, the health minister visited various departments of Rupganj Upazila Health Complex, patients' wards, cabins, store rooms, doctors' chambers with testing equipment.
