To popularize cashless transactions and raise public awareness, the Jainabazar Sub-Branch of Pubali Bank PLC recently organized a day-long cashless campaign and a colorful rally.

Held on Monday, the inauguration ceremony ran under the slogans "BANGLA QR for One Country, One QR Transaction" and "Transactions are Cashless, Bangladesh is Moving Forward."

Mohammad Arifur Rahman, Deputy General Manager and Regional Head of the Gazipur Region, attended the event as the chief guest. Belal Hossain Selim, Assistant General Manager of the Gazipur Region, joined as the special guest, alongside honored guest Md. Amir Hossain, Senior Principal Officer and Manager of the Mawna Branch, and distinguished guest Md. Ali Mansur Manik, Headmaster of Telihati High School. Md. Yeemen Ali, Teacher and Founding Chairman of H.A.K Academy, was also present.

Md. Jasim Uddin, Principal Officer and Head of the Jainabazar Sub-Branch, presided over the program, which was hosted by Md. Nazrul Islam, Deputy Junior Officer of the sub-branch.

Speakers at the inauguration noted that as part of the country's digital transformation, Bangladesh is rapidly moving toward a modern, smart financial system. Through the Pubali Bank Jainabazar Sub-Branch, local small and medium-sized business owners and ordinary citizens can now conduct secure, rapid, and cash-free transactions by simply scanning the Bangla QR code.

Highlighting the benefits of digital finance, speakers explained that carrying physical paper notes carries the risk of damage, wear and tear, and theft. Shifting to cashless transactions eliminates the waste associated with damaged paper notes and frees business owners and citizens from the fear of muggings. This technology enables secure financial management from home, boosting local economic activity and reducing risk.

During the event, attendees and local merchants received detailed briefings on the modern features of Pubali Bank's digital banking app "Pi," the diverse benefits of cashless transactions, and secure digital banking practices. Organizers expressed optimism that the campaign will open a new horizon for the regional rural economy and help build a secure, modern smart financial framework. The program concluded with an enthusiastic rally featuring guests, bank officials, traders, and local participants.
