Protest rally held by 11 parties in Satkhira demanding implementation of July Charter

The 11-party unity Satkhira district has held a protest march in Satkhira demanding the implementation of the July National Charter, democracy, justice, good governance and establishment of justice.

The program was held at 4 pm on Saturday from the town Abdur Razzak Park at the initiative of the 11-party unity Satkhira district. The protest march started from Abdur Razzak Park and circled the main roads of the city. During this time, the leaders and activists started raising various slogans demanding the implementation of the pledge of the July movement.

In a brief rally before the procession, Satkhira-2 constituency MP and Jamaat-e-Islami's central organizing secretary Muhaddis Abdul Khalek said that the July National Charter must be implemented to establish democracy, justice, good governance and fairness.

People from different classes and professions, including leaders and activists of 11 parties including Jamaat at the district, upazila, municipal and union levels, participated in the protest march.

In his speech, District Jamaat Ameer Vice President Shahidul Islam Mukul said that the government needs to be sincere in running the state according to the expectations of the people and implementing the declared goals of the July Movement. He called for giving importance to the opinions of the people.

District Jamaat Assistant Secretary Md. Omar Faruk, Working Committee Member Ed Azizul Islam, Shibir President Mehedi Hasan, top leaders of 11 parties including NCP, AB Party, and others addressed the rally moderated by District Secretary Maulana Azizur Rahman.
