Prof Yunus-led 'National Unity Commission' to start work on Sat

The interim government has formed a “National Unity Commission” to reach a consensus with stakeholders on the state overhaul proposals made by six reform commissions, after holding discussions with different political parties and groups.
The seven-member commission, led by Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus, would function for six months starting Saturday, the government said in a notification issued Wednesday.
The commission would work to build national consensus on the expert proposals for rectifying the existing flaws and irregularities in the country’s election system, police force, judiciary, public administration system, anti-corruption activities and the constitution.
