A press conference was held on the complaint of declaring the committee of Union Jubo League unconstitutionally dissolved in Domar of Neelphamari.

On Monday morning, a press conference was held at Baragacha Battali area of Sonora Union by the union and ward committee president and editors of the defunct declared committee.

In a written statement Sonara Union Committee President. Mujibur Rahman said that Domar Upazila Jubo League announced the dissolution of the committee of Bangladesh Awami Jubo League Sonara union branch last October 30. Two joint convenors of Upazila Jubo League, Rafikuzzaman Rubel and Ganesh Kumar Agarwala, were present and announced the dissolution of the committee.

In that extended meeting, the union's general secretary Manoranjan Roy was out of the country for medical treatment and in the absence of the president and editors of the ward committee including president Mojibul Rahman, the Union Jubo League Committee was dissolved outside the constitution.

In his written statement, he also said that two joint convenors of the upazila branch have previously been accused of disbanding the committees of three union branches and appointing convenors to the convenors. President Mujibur Rahman called an extra-constitutional extended meeting and strongly protested the announcement of the abolition of the committee and called for an extended meeting to be organized in the presence of leaders and workers as soon as possible.

As General Secretary Manoranjan Roy lives outside the country, he said over the phone that he is in India for treatment. I don't know how an extended meeting is held without the president and secretary of a committee including the president and secretary of the ward committee. I protest against it and call for an urgent meeting as per the rules.
