
Prayer, discussion held in Rangpur

A prayer and discussion meeting were held in 33 ward 33 of Rangpur city organized by conscious students. This meeting was held in the hall of Raghu Bazar Azizullah High School in the city on Friday 23rd August 2024 afternoon.
Maulana ATM Azam Khan, Vice-Principal, Mekura Fazil Madrasa and Ameer, Rangpur Mahanagar, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami was present as chief guest on the occasion. Professor Anwarul Islam, Nayebe Ameer, Rangpur Mahanagar, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maulana Nazrul Islam Siddiqui, Principal Harkali Fazil Madrasa. Abdul Jalil, Secretary of Mahiganj thana of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Shah Mohammad Mohsin, Naibe Ameer of Mahiganj Thana Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, student leader Saiful Islam of Mekura Madrasa, Sihabul Islam student leader of Mahiganj College, Suman Sarkar and Sohel Rana the Student Leaders of Rangpur Begum Rokeya University and many others were present.
Meanwhile, ATM Azam Khan said that after the fall of the dictatorial government of Sheikh Hasina by the anti-discrimination student movement, all the leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat Islam are working tirelessly to maintain the peace and order of the country, in case there is no attack, vandalism and arson on the minority families of Bangladesh and their places of worship. He also said that the central Ameer of Jamaat has announced its general apology for the steamroller of torture that was carried out on the leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami during the dictatorial government.
ATM Azam Khan said, “Those who were injured in the movement of the students, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur city and district branches have inquired about them and made all arrangements for better treatment. We are peace lovers, we want the peace of the country, we will not tolerate any anarchy on the soil of Bangladesh.”
Later, prayers were offered for the souls of those killed in the anti-discrimination student movement and for the speedy recovery of the injured.
