Power Secretary Farzana Mamtaz removed

Farzana Mamtaz, secretary of the Power Division of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, has been transferred and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration.
Mirana Mahrukh, additional secretary of the Economic Relations Department, has been promoted to replace her.
Separate notifications in this regard were issued by the Higher Appointments-1 Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday.
The two orders state that they will come into effect immediately in the "public interest".
Farzana became the secretary of the Power Division on Oct 6, 2024, after being promoted from additional secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture.
